Completion Shares for the Pay It Forward More To Life Weekend – MN

WOW! About 65 people were present, some guests, some team, and of course, the participants from the course. They had almost a week to live with the experience of taking radical responsibility for living in the Reality of the Here and Now. For me, it's always been the icing on the cake of the whole course. Hearing their stories of how they have been more themselves than ever; more present to family, friends, and estranged loved ones; more in tune with the world in general.

One woman spoke of her renewed relationship with her daughter, each sharing with the other what it had been like to be emotionally distant, and reclaiming their relationship in a new way. One man marveled at how much more weight he could manage at the gym – at 60 years old, he went from 90lbs on the seated row machine to 120 lbs with each Images-1
hand – hard to explain how that happened from attending a weekend course that included no weight training! (Unless, of course, you count the release of mental myths about age and other unnecessary baggage!)

Another woman had come to the course, having decided to quit her job, blaming it for all her woes. She was ready to give up 12 years of intensive schooling. She declared how much she now loved her job again, her vision for helping people was restored and brightened by her love and passion for her work.

And so the stories rolled. A brother and sister healed a fractured relationship. A mother discovered new-found patience with her children. One man began actually seeing/hearing those with whom he interacted – Really Seeing and Really Hearing them. Another woman got how much she really wanted to make an impact in the world. Friendships were made, realistic goals were created to forward their lives in a way that mattered, support relationships were formed.

Yes, it was one of those memorable experiences. And it's all I've ever wanted to be and to do. I am grateful for all the things that have happened in my life … all that has opened me, vexed me, disturbed me, uplifted me … all that has gone into the journey of my life. Thank you, Minnesota, for pursuing a vision that transforms the quality of life – not just for the team and the participants in the course (and me), but for those they touch and evoke and love and heal. We made a difference in this world.
