The Dark Side – A Possibility
What if we absolutely need a dark side in order to give us the option
of free will, free choice?
After all, wouldn’t we ascend or be angelic
always if we had no choice but to be good/light?
Aren’t we the Grand
Experiment?
Isn't Self Mastery about consciously choosing?
I absolutely believe that without its opposite nothing has much meaning. We have to have the dark to have a sense of what the light is. It is by knowing the I Am Not that I know the I Am. The dark serves its purpose. Without it free will or choice becomes a meaningless concept. That isn’t how the Divine set things up is it? All that is, is here because it serves a purpose. Of course this is a very dualistic way of seeing things and it’s not quite that black and white, but it is a useful way of thinking about it, to me anyway.
