A Harmonious Life
Yeah! That’s what I want! A life that is harmonious. Manageable. Predictable. Smooth. Easy. I want to know that I am prepared for any eventuality. So I can finally rest and be happy…able to count on my days being safe and protected from bad things.
Hmmm. On a cardiogram, that sameness would look like a flat line. Predictability would turn into a rut. Dr. Laurence Peter says, “A rut is a grave with the ends knocked out.” And it doesn’t sound like real reality at all, at all.
On the other end of the spectrum is an 80 year old friend of a friend of mine, who goes to the window as soon as he gets up in the morning, throws it open, leans out and speaks in a voice loud enough for most everyone to hear, “OK, God, whatever you have in store for me today, I’m IN!!”
My Way or Thy Way/Reality! Guess which one wins ….
I am IN. Waking early and breathing the day in and embracing life’s potential for me, is a good practice. Soft English rain today here in Cape Town, walking through it at work and getting a mist of water on my skin – lovely. Hugs Patricia
You’ve been “IN” as long as I’ve known you. and I’d love to be walking with you though the mist in Cape Town.
miss you in cape town, come and visit, and be IN with us
love kerry cape town
Hopefully I will …. maybe 2017. You can come to Houston, you know!
I’m in too… radicals shifts in life have opened up just the right space to say “bring it”. I’m in with you Ann 🙂
Then it is time. We’ll remind each other when we forget! LOL
